John Braddy passed away on October 20, 2017: Pray for comfort for his family. He was 86 and was one of the four legacy with Bill and Ruth Eckstein and Pauline, his wife during 1968-1973 while Tony and Dorothy Callies was doing outstation to Peoria and pastored Deaf Church of Normal, Illinois.

Karen Smith: Your devotional reminds me of the theme at the Deaf Women's Retreat.  The speaker lost her house in a fire two years ago.  Only the exterior and roof were spared.  The deaf community rebuilt her house So that was the "gold" that came out of her suffering loss.  Karen Smith

Bridget Timmers: I really do appreciate of your "Manna" about sufferings.  That moment of this morning I had been wondering why do I ever deserve to have glaucoma till I read the verses of word of God: Psalm 103: 1-5. I said amen to that each verses to minister to my heart with the encouraging me to be like Jesus daily walk with Him. I need to learn not to let the bitter pick on me all the times because can lead the angry for no reason about it.  God's intention had the purposed for me to gaze on Him daily walk of no matter what I go through attending to the doctor appointment every time to test my eyes to make sure I'm faithful on medication of eyes drop daily.  Thank you for the manna about sufferings which very helpful me to understood of what God is making the point. Dawn Kay Hottinger: I wanted to let you know that Brandi (her daughter) will be having a radical hysterectomy on October 30.  We are hopeful that she will not need chemotherapy or radiation. Love, Dawn [Dorothy: Dawn Kay is my niece] Also pray for Dawn with kidney disease and she just finished a chemotherapy treatment in August that lasted 6 months. The treatment is used to try to get remission. She has another month of testing before the Doctor will say if she is in remission. All prayers are appreciated.

Dorothy Callies: Pray for Ben, my brother needs prayer to have hip replacement, but cannot have surgery because of poor circulation. He needs miracle of healing whatever going on in his body. HI.  I'm recovering from the sprained ankle.  I can walk but my ankle and knee are still stiff. I'm wearing a lightweight elastic brace underneath my sock.  Craig was in the hospital 4 days getting antibiotics through IV and came home Sunday.  Pray for his recovery.  He needs to keep his leg wrapped with gauze.  Karen

Dorothy, I am sending you a prayer request. Bill and I lost our interpreter and a pastor a beloved pastor who truly preached truth to us every Sunday. They left our church to go back to Missouri, so we are in desperate need for a new interpreter and a new pastor. We thank you for praying for us. We are the only deaf couple in our hearing church, no other deaf.

And also we have been hosting Deaf Game Night once a month on a last Friday, we are still hosting, and it will be on Oct. 28th, and November 25th. There will be no Deaf Game Night in December due to the last Friday, it will be New Year's Eve, so no deaf Game Night. I will make a new schedule for 2017. Thank you for praying for us.  Please pray for me as I sprained my ankle when stepping into a rain-filled pothole last Wednesday.  I can walk but my ankle and knee are sore and stiff. Also pray for my husband Craig who has a bad leg and foot infection after suffering a cut on his leg last Wednesday. Karen

Testimony from:

Bea Fitpatrick of Indiana texted me that some people are helping her to get rid of 14 cats and she is able to keep three cats. She tried for years to do this since she loved cats, but for her health’s sake, she had to do this.  She also got help to redo her small trailer. She thanks us for praying for her.

Dianne Oppreicht of Wisc talked with me on VP that she went to ER again for her shingles and they used corn starch over it and it started to heal.  I shared the information from Karen Batts who mention about using the E-OIL 30,000 IU. She now knows about it and thankful for the information.  Keep praying for her complete healing.

Jane Loveland of Utah fell and broke bone below her pelvic, went to hospital to get it fix and now in Rehab for recovery.  Please pray for her speedy recovery.  Dorothy PS.  She can’t move her right leg. She is 89 years old. She’s a great prayer warrior.  Continue to pray for her.

Shalom, Shalom!

May I encourage each of you to take authority over whatever it is you need prayer for?  We in the Body are delighted to support one another in prayer and in other ways. However, Yahshua (Jesus) gave each of us (believers) authority over the powers of darkness, forces of nature, sickness/disease and one other thing which at the moment I cannot recall.  Take authority! Tell that sickness to go in Yahshua's Name.  The Word says, "submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee".   First, we submit to God which includes true repentance for our sins and surrender all to Him.  After we do that, we are to resist the devil. Simply stand on God's Word and say, "NO!" to satan and his cohorts.  Once you have done both of these things the devil must flee.  Hope this encourages you.

10/25/15 Dolores Post of Calif: Urgent Prayer need for her legs and feet swell up very large with raw skin as her legs so filled with water that it broke skin open very badly; went on for two months; ER 3 times; saw Dr. 2 times a week until finally Dolores is in a Nursing Care & Rehab Center. Please pray for her legs to be strengthened and water retention problems to be solved. Report by Susanne

10/25/15 Susanne’s Urgent Prayer Need: My foot has not healed from its break since last March 21^st… now waiting to start new health insurance. Please pray that the DR will help me heal it so I can get back on my feet. I came down with bad cold & bronchitis so I wasn’t able to help my mom. 10/25/15 Prayer Answered that Kent/Teri-Lyn Calhoun’s house has been sold.

09/22/15 Remember this? Kent/Teri-Lyn Calhoun are requesting for prayer as they had put their house on the market.

Yes, Dorothy - God has been SO good while trying to sell the house as well as to buy a house.  While yes it is going to cost us some money to bring this house to code (the contractor had cut too many corners)--- the buyers were NOT asking us to pay to replace the roof shingles. Why are we taking this as a positive?

1.  The replacement of the shingles would be very expensive (to cover the whole house)

2.  OH WOW -- The Radon test on this house showed the house was holding at the gas level of 110 instead of the "acceptable" number of 4.  WOW.

3.  We have several support poles in the basement that were NOT bolted to the floor nor to the ceiling!  Praise God that we haven't experienced any tremors of any kind.  The only "tremors" we have had were from the train just across the street from us - several times a day.  God allowed the house to stay firm - HIS FOUNDATION is always firm!!! Praise God for that.

We flew out to Arizona recently. We did have every intention of looking for a trailer that is in the same community as Kent's mother. But God sent a message loud and clear via a precious friend of mine -- we are NOT to look for any "home" WITH STEPS.  I would constantly be suffering from pinched nerve and not be healed. So we found a house that DOES NOT have any steps - in a different community that is only a few minutes away.  We will be closing on November 13th, 2015 on the old house AS WELL as the new house. The new chapter of our lives starts that day.

10/26/15 Dorothy Callies Special Prayer Request – Last Oct. 5^th, I took the Lifeline Screening tests and I haven’t heard the result yet. New problem came up. Since they sonogram on both side of my neck for Artery tests, I seem to have a terrible side effect of “screaming” tinnitus. In the past the tinnitus has been “low humming.” The only time, it would be a “low humming” is for me to be very still and quiet. Whenever I changed my position, the tinnitus noise would be “very loud” on either side of my ears. I’m taking my communion often, continue to release my faith and commands the “screaming” spirits to leave me. It seems to help at times, but I would appreciate your prayers as prayer warriors. Psalm 21:13 “Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.” So we will sing and praise God for His power to continue to heal all that came to His throne in time of need.

Lucy Schmidt, Lancaster, California: 10/28 - As for Nick’s result:  One left drain tube in his head. Please pray one more miracle heal drain as normal drain through spinal core. He sleep heavy from kill painful. I keep on praise God for a beautiful mercy to answered people praying. 10/30 - The next thing: Nick walked and was able to sit up. Lucy is happy and thank you for continue to pray for Nick.

Keith Templeton of Indiana: 10/28 - Dr. Palmer said that Vonda had papillary thyroid cancer. He removed all her thyroid gland. He also said it’s not a deadly cancer and is not life threatening. Three hours surgery, 2 ½ hour recovery. She’ll be in hospital for two days. Voice box is not damaged. Thank you all for paying. We serve a mighty God who created us. I told the doctor, God has control of His hands and surgery. He agreed. 10/29 - Vonda Templeton is home from the hospital.  Just one day after her total thyroid cancer removal surgery. Her quick and speedy recovery is an answer to prayer. Thank you all for your prayers. Keith.

Lisa Wilcox – 10/28 – Please pray for Kurt and our sons, Johnathan and Ryan, so they may be able to get jobs at Lowe’s. As well as healing for Kurt’s back, so he can handle work. Thank you, Lisa.

Melinda Gerstein – 10/31 - Urgent prayer request: I may lose my social security benefit in 15 days. I need that income to pray for rent and roof over my head. Let you know that I had a mild stroke. Thank you for praying for me. Melinda.

Tony Callies has a problem with his right lower back, often has discomfort which depends on situation he does. If he sits, he is okay, but when he gets up, it become discomfort. He had all the tests taken around that area and nothing shows any reason for causing the pain. The doctor gave him another pain pills same as before which has helped, but now Tony seems to feel that the pain pills isn’t helping anything. Pray for God’s wisdom as to what he should do. Thank you for praying, Dorothy.

Pauline Braddy as you all have been praying for her is now in Rehab Nursing Home for a while. She is improving greatly and is able to walk some and moving her left arm much more which effect from mild stroke. Pauline’s recent birthday was 79^th. Thank you for your prayer. John Braddy.

Bill Eckstein is now on oxygen 24 hours a day in order for him to maintain well-being and in good health. Bill turns 80 today, Oct. 31^st and we wish him a happy 80^th birthday. Some of the old timers are approaching 80’s and some already passed 80’s and it has been God’s blessing since they were under the ministry of Tony and Dorothy Callies in 1970’s. I can’t believe we are still around after 45 years of the Normal Deaf Church A/G. Ruth Eckstein will be 79 in Nov. 2^nd. Dorothy Callies

Father, thank You for prayers on Kathryn's behalf. I am adding my prayer and agreeing with her that You are best doctor. Guide the doctors who will perform surgery on Mike and Edward that they do the job well. I pray for complete healing for both men after the surgeries are done. Let Mike and Edward praise You and magnify Your name today and always. In Jesus' powerful name I pray, amen and amen. 

Thank You Lord for blessing Amy with a job. Pour out Your favour on her and set her apart in doing the job well. Let Amy be a shining light and bring good news to the workplace. Amen and amen.

Father, Dorothy is working hard with the assignments You have given her. She delights in pleasing You and encouraging body of  believers to grow in You and Your Word.  Thank You for Your ongoing strength upon her. 

I pray for Your wisdom to come to Dorothy's doc to handle the case effectively. Let Dorothy be in full confidence in You and know with joy You have heard her prayers as well as those who have prayed with her and for her. Kathryn McGillem of Indiana: My son, Mike will have surgery on his kidney problem on Oct. 22. And my brother-in-law, Edward had surgery for his bladder cancer few times. I am trusting on God who is our best Doctor.

Amy Pringle of Indiana: Morning! Thank you for the prayer requests. I have a praise report - I finally have a job! As a case coordinator at Vocational Rehab. Totally not what I expected, but obviously God had other plans! I start on Tuesday, October 14. Pray for me since it is out of my comfort zone but trusting God to guide me throughout. Thank you so much for the prayer I requested last spring. 

Dorothy Callies: On Oct. 13, I went to my family doctor to check up on few things that I have problem with. He referred me to my “old surgeon” who would need to check it again since the last three years. I am waiting for the surgeon to call me. Right now, I need prayer for God to give the doctor wisdom to handle my case. It is personal so I would wait and find out more information.

 Praise Report: Lucy Schmidt gave amazing praise report concerning her son, Nick. Nick has greatly improved to where he became restless and wants to go home. But the Doctor has more work to do on Nick so continue to pray for Nick. Lucy decided to stay a little longer to be with Nick at Lancaster, California. So pray for Lucy’s strength to stay strong in the Lord.

**Thank You Father for answering our prayers. We continue to lift Nick up to You for a full recovery. You are magnified and exalted in our praise and worship. Now, we're praying for Lucy to remain strong in You and keep her armour on all the time. Thank You for giving her joy which is the strength of the Lord. Let Your peace be reigning in Lucy's spirit, soul and body. Thank You Jesus, our Prince of Peace and Holy Spirit, our Strengthener.

Praise Report and prayer: Pauline Braddy is now in Rehab/Nursing Home for her exercise and her husband, John gave a glowing report that Pauline has improved tremendously. The therapist was amazed how much she has improved so much during her exercise time. She looks so happy and is very talkative. Please continue to pray for her left arm to become strong again. [She had mild stroke.]

 **Thank You Jesus again for Your powerful touch on Pauline's body, healing her completely. I ask now that her left arm be strong in the name of Jesus. Regain full strength in that arm now. Muscles grow in the name of Jesus. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Jesus.

Martha Clements: I need prayers really bad. I have severe arthritis and I am not doing well. It is in my hands, in my left knee, in my back, and in my right thigh/hip.  Now i am in constant pain as well as loss of bladder control. I received news that i might still have UTI after 3 months of treatment. I will hear from doctor about this urine test. My pain in my body has become unbearable to the point of where i cry out to God for help and healing. Please dear partners pray for me urgently. I am trusting God to hear your prayers. Thank you! Martha

 **Father, I am praying for Martha. She needs You Jesus. You are her Healer. Let her experience Your loving and healing touch right now. We are confident in You and Your Word. What You say comes to pass. We believe You heal today as You have done in the past and will do in the future. Now, I'm agreeing with You about Your Word being sent to Martha and healing her. Arthritis and pain, you bow your knees to the name of Jesus and leave Martha's body now in the name of Jesus. Get out of her hands, knees, back and hips. UTI, in the name of Jesus, get out of Martha's bladder. I speak the Word of life and health to Martha's body. Holy Spirit, come with healing power and restore her body whole from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet. Let all the cells behave normally and work together perfectly as You have designed. Kathryn McGillem send prayer need from her Ass. Pastor Keith Templeton: Hello all prayer warriors, Begin prayers for Vonda Templeton who will have thyroid surgery on Tuesday Oct. 28, 2014. Not sure how long she’ll be in hospital.  Not sure what the doctors will find.  Not sure if they can save her voice box. One thing I am sure about. Jesus is Lord, he can do anything.  There’s nothing too hard for God.  I’m believing for a miracle. Please add Vonda to prayer list.

  **Father, thank You for prayer warriors for their time to pray and believing You completely. Let us all come to an agreement that Jesus heals now and Vonda be made free from thyroid problem, a miracle that only comes from You. Yes, nothing is too hard for You, our Healer & top Physician to heal her completely, be made whole, strong and well. We are joining with Kathryn and her firm belief for a healing miracle for Vonda. Betty Jo Bennewitz gave report that her husband Dallas’ eyes are going down. He will see his vision doctor. What he need is a miracle for his eyes. He is over 80 years old.

**Jesus, You are our Miracle Worker and we believe You that You still do miracles today. We are praying for a healing miracle with Dallas' eyes. Restore his eyesight to normal vision. Just like Moses had great eyesight. His eyes did not dim but strong. We give thanks and praises to You Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise Reports:

Lucy Schmidt gave amazing praise report concerning her son, Nick. Nick has greatly improved to where he became restless and wants to go home. But the Doctor has more work to do on Nick so continue to pray for Nick. Lucy decided to stay a little longer to be with Nick at Lancaster, California. So pray for Lucy’s strength to stay strong in the Lord.

Pauline Braddy is now in Rehab/Nursing Home for her exercise and her husband, John gave a glowing report that Pauline has improved tremendously. The therapist was amazed how much she has improved so much during her exercise time. She looks so happy and is very talkative. Please continue to pray for her left arm to become strong again. [She had mild stroke.]

Prayer Requests:

Martha Clements: I need prayers really bad. I have severe arthritis and I am not doing well. It is in my hands, in my left knee, in my back, and in my right thigh/hip.  Now i am in constant pain as well as loss of bladder control. I received news that i might still have UTI after 3 months of treatment. I will hear from doctor about this urine test. My pain in my body has become unbearable to the point of where i cry out to God for help and healing. Please dear partners pray for me urgently. I am trusting God to hear your prayers. Thank you! Martha

Kathryn McGillem send report from her Ass. Pastor Keith Templeton: Hello all prayer warriors, Begin prayers for Vonda Templeton who will have thyroid surgery on Tuesday Oct. 28, 2014. Not sure how long she’ll be in hospital.  Not sure what the doctors will find.  Not sure if they can save her voice box. One thing I am sure about. Jesus is Lord, he can do anything.  There’s nothing too hard for God.  I’m believing for a miracle. Please add Vonda to prayer list.

Betty Jo Bennewitz gave report that her husband Dallas’ eyes are going down. He will see his vision doctor. What he need is a miracle for his eyes. He is over 80 years old.

#30 Oct 4 Prayer Need & Praise Reports

Psalm 70:4 "Let all those that seek thee rejoice and rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, 'Let God be magnified.'" The meaning of the word magnified is extol; praise; to increase or to enlarge. It is like we use magnify glass to read the very fine print and make it bigger and easier to read. The testimonies of God's healing power made our God a greater God. "Let God be magnified!"

Anyway I want to share this prayer request and some wonderful testimonies.

Pauline Braddy from Illinois was in the hospital for IV into her neck to prevent more stroke for a week. Prayer has helped her to become more alive and she has improved greatly. Now Pauline will go to Rehab to exercise her left arm, etc. She was able to walk. It would be painful exercise and that part she needs prayer to overcome and increase the use of her muscle. Her husband, John testified that it was a miracle that she became talkative after so many hours of sleeps for two days. Wow. "Let God be magnified!"

Bill Eckstein is on oxygen 24 hours a day to keep himself from falling. Yet he came to church which surprised everyone and he looks good. His health has greatly improved and thanks to your prayer that his colon problem has been corrected and healed completely. We praise God for this marvelous change in Bill. "Let God be magnified!"

Dianne Oppriecht has a wonderful testimony that she was able to eat oatmeal every morning for a month and her stomach has greatly improved. She is feeling better very slowly and really appreciate your prayers. She kept saying, "Prayer  really works. God does hear them. Thank you partners for your prayers. It means a lot to me" said Dianne. Wow! "Let God be magnified!"

Betty Jo Bennewitz gave a glowing report that most of her tests were good and her kidneys are stabled. What she needs right now is your prayer for her lower spinal cord area has spur problem that needs to be rehab to see if they could correct it without taking any risk on shots. Let's believe and say, "Let God be magnified" in Betty Jo's lower spinal cord and be healed in Jesus' name. Amen!

Tony Callies is having problem with his hip which made it difficult for him to walk with pain. When he rested, he seems fine. But when he walks, it hurts. Oh, let God be magnified and let Tony's right hip be healed in Jesus' name.

Linda Jochems of Michigan would appreciate your prayer for her bladder problem she had for a long time. The doctor recommend her for surgery so they are giving a test for that. She asked for prayer that all will go smoothly and that the hand of the surgeon would fixed it right. So let God be magnified and healed Linda Jochem in Jesus name. Amen!

Halted

This devotion was halted because I was taken to emergency hospital 2 nights to be treated for the shortage of breathe. It was due to bronchitis and narrow airway. They gave me medication so that I could breathe easily and rest for 10 days. I just trust God day by day and thank you for your prayers.

Luke 1:37, NLT “For nothing is impossible with God.”

An angel came to Mary with salutation and good news that Jesus shall be born and be called the Son of God. Impossible! And also Elisabeth, who was barren, shall bring forth a son and named him John. Impossible! Sarah, Abraham’s wife laughed when she heard that she would have a son in her old age. Impossible! Genesis 18:14 NIV asked, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

Jeremiah 32:17 NIV “Ah, Sovereign Lord, You have made the heavens and earth by Your great power and outstretched arm, nothing is too hard for You.” Jesus said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matt.19:26 NIV). Again, Jesus said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God” (Lu.18:27 NIV).

Paul talked about Abraham’s faith and that Abraham believed God that he would have a son in his old age. Abraham did not waver through unbelief. Abraham was fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promise (Rom. 4:21 NIV).

Like Abraham, let us trust God that nothing is impossible with Him!
