Detroit, Michigan. We flew out there
and met with Peppy who drove us
through the Canada custom line.

College, Windsor, Canada. It was surprisely
nice room only cost 69.95 Canada money. They
had light breakfast, too. It was really nice.

Callies' Picture



Tony and Dorothy Callies were married in 1967. Since then they have been in Deaf Ministry as Evangelists, pastors, authors and film-video producers. Later, they made verse-by-verse Bible Studies, “Philemon, Titus, Jude, Hebrews and Romans.” Dorothy works part time at Taco Bell in Normal, Illinois. She is the Editor of Fresh Manna from Heaven for devotion in Blogger. She and her husband attend First Assembly of God Deaf Church on Normal, Illinois and both assist in preaching with Pastor Newman. Since their move, Tony and Dorothy at different times have been asked from time to time to speak to special events in other states and Canada. They are enjoying their quiet time as semi-retirement at Bloomington, Illinois since two years.

Tony Callies – grew up and attended Minnesota School for the Deaf and graduated in1957. He worked at Beloit (WI), Daily News for several years as a linotype operator. While at Rockford, Illinois he attended a revival and was saved under the ministry of Rev. Croft Pentz in 1963. He attended and graduated from Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri in 1967. He married Dorothy and they became Evangelists and traveled USA and Canada for a year and half. They had been pastors at seven different churches. They made seven films and wrote a book. Later, they made verse-by-verse Bible Studies, “Philemon, Titus, Jude, Hebrews and Romans.” Today they are semi-retired and live in Bloomington, Illinois.

Dorothy Callies --As a Southern Californian, was saved and called to work with the Deaf at the age of 13; went to California Deaf School Riverside in 1956; graduated from Bible College in 1964 and married Anthony in June 1967. They became Evangelists and performed dramas in the USA and New Brunswick. In 1970’s her burden to pioneer silent Christian films in ASL had lead into making “Seven Great Films” and in 2005 converted into classic DVDs. Dorothy and Tony worked with Deaf Video Communication at Carol Stream, Illinois and had created five excellent verse-by-verse Bible Studies of Hebrews, Titus, Philemon, Jude and Romans. Tony had converted VHS classic 1997 Revelations in dvds. Presently, Dorothy works part time at Taco Bell in Normal, Illinois. She is the Editor of Fresh Manna for devotion in website. She and her husband attend First Assembly of God Deaf Church in Normal, Illinois and both assist in preaching with Pastor Newman.
