What interest me about the incense?

Written on August 16, 2008 to preserve the titles for a short time under 12/31/07. Here's the brief story of how "The Incense" had started with Malachi 1:11.

In the Old Testament Bible, I was thinking of which book I would like to start reading so I chose the book of Malachi. The key verse was Malachi 1:11 NCV: "'From the east to the west I will be honored among the nations. Everywhere they will bring incense and clean offerings to me, because I will be honored among the nations,' says the Lord All-Powerful." I asked this question: Where would God find the nations, the Gentiles who would bring the incense to Him? What kind of incense?

I began the research on "the incense" and the information are on the list of blogger. I gave two presentations about "The Incense Part one and two" [Oct. 28, 2007 and Feb. 23, 2008]. There are two dvds if you are interested, contact dotcallies@hotmail.com.

The candles displayed were given at the beginning of the workshop and I had one lady who came up front with two gifts for her labor. I was told that she loved "the incense" and her first gift was her favorite, the pumpkin spice candle. The second gift, she smelled it and she had guessed the candle was cranberry. This attracted everyone what I was up to, about "The Incense." We talked about the perfume that smelled good. I looked at the audience and said, "Didn't you know that God loves perfume?” The audience was surprised. God loves the smell of the special perfume? Yes, He does. The incense details are on the list of the blogger.

Malachi 1:11 fulfilled the prophecy 400 years later, what God was looking for the kind of spiritual incense which was worship, praise and adoration in the Spirit toward Him. The book of Acts 2 began with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the believers and they became "the incense." In chapter 10 of Acts was the story of the first Gentile, Cornelius and the whole group offered "the incense" of worship, praise and adoration in the Spirit. Since 2,000 years, many Gentile nations and millions of people offer "the incense of worship" to Him. So that is the clue, the incense is the kind of worship, praise and adoration that becomes sweet smelling incense to Him. This is far better and clean offering God is talking about in the book of Malachi. Our prayer goes to the throne of God, where? At the Golden Altar. It is awesome to know that our worship, praise and adoration toward our God now become the incense that God loves to smell.

Frankincense: Part 2 of Incense 6

Question was: Why did God choose specific spices?
Stacte, onycha, and galbanum are three spices plus
one spice is frankincense. The answer was already
given: now the three speak of prayer, worship and
spirit, plus one was Christ Himself. Our different
kinds of prayers, plus Christ, the Intercessor,
who prays to the Father for us. Our prayers are
like the spices plus Christ, altogether went into
the Golden Censer, the burning coal, that causes
the spices to bring out the smoke from the incense.

Many Deaf questions: Why do I have to pray? Where
does my prayers go? What is the value of the prayers?
Do I need to be smart to be able to pray? When I
pray, does it vanished into thin air? And many more.
Now, my friends, after studying these "INCENSE", I
pray that your eyes be opened to understand that all
your questions are being answered from the Scripture
about prayers, the Incense in Revelation 8:3-4.

This is the end of Incense Series. There are much to
be given about the Tabernacle, the Golden Altar, the
Golden Censer and the High Priest, the Intercessor.
I have already done the incense part. You might want
to look into other sources of information about the
Tabernacle.

I hope you have enjoyed the Incense: Stacte, Onycha,
Galbanum and Frankincense. I pray that you have been
enriched through this studies. I pray that your prayers
will be greater than before because now you know that
your prayer becomes an incense before the throne of God.

I wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR and may God bless you richly
in Jesus' name. Now you know this is Frankincense spice.

Spice: Frankincense Incense 6

Question was: Why did God choose specific spices?
Malachi 1:11 that tells us that the nations,
the Gentiles will bring incense to Him.

Exodus 30:34-36 speaks of four spices that composed
the sweet incense. There were divided into three
plus one. Now the three speak of prayer, worship and
the spirit which they are accomplished plus one.

4. Frankincense
This was secured from a small tree by an incision (cut)
made in the evening from which it oozed out overnight.
Definition of oozed means slow drip, leak out slowly.
Frankincense is a root meaning whiteness. (To obtain
the frankincense, an incision is made through the bark
of the tree deep into the trunk and a strip of bark is
peeled off).

Frankincense represents Christ was bruised: stripes cut
deep into His skins, and the blood was oozed out and now
adds the sweet incense of His merits (works) to the
prayers of the saints. So, by living union with Him
believers share communion with His intercession, in
prayer. The smallest act of Christ was a sweet odor to
God. His death was His crowning act of delight to Him.

Ephesians 5:2 ncv "Live a life of love just as Christ
loved us and gave Himself for us AS A SWEET-SMELLING
OFFERING AND SACRIFICE TO GOD." As our intercessor,
Christ unites His work in the glory with that of the
cross. This makes His intercession effectual.

Rev. 8:3-4 ncv "Another angel came and stood at the
altar, holding a golden pan for incense. He was given
much incense to offer with the prayers of all God's
holy people. The angel put this offering on the golden
altar before the throne. The smoke from the incense
went up from the angel's hand to God with the prayers
of God's people".

Key word: incision means to cut deep. A strip of bark
was then peeled. Christ's suffering tells us that He
knows how we feel as a human being. He knows our pains.
He knows our agony. He knows our suffering. Therefore,
He is the Frankincense, the One plus three kinds of
prayers. The name of Jesus is one added to prayers.

Spice: Galbanum, Incense 5

Malachi 1:11 that tells us that the nations,
the Gentiles will bring incense to Him.

Exodus 30:34-36

3. Galbanum
This was secured from a shrub which grew on the high
land of Syria. It grew eight to ten feet tall, with
leaves at each joint, from which broken, issued a thin
juice of cream color of a fat tough substance. It has a
pungent, disagreeable odor and was mixed with other
ingredient in the sacred incense to increase and retain
its fragrance longer.

Galbanum represents prayer and praise to be real must
flow from a broken and contrite heart and be inspired
by the Holy Spirit. Psalms 51:17
KJV-The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken
and a contrite heart, O God, thou will not despise.
NVC-The sacrifice God wants is a broken spirit. God, You
will not reject a heart that is broken and sorry for sin.

Two key words: "broken and odor". The branch was broken
and the juice of cream color flow out and it smells terrible.
It stinks badly. The only way to use this incense was to add
other ingredients and mixed it with galbanum so it will smell
better and make the smell to last longer. This was a very
important spice. Example: A story of a prisoner who was
sentenced to die in the electric chair. For a long time he
had no hope for anything beyond death. Fear controlled his
thoughts, and he felt forsaken by God and man. He started
to read Prison to Praise. He learned to believe that God was
working in every life to draw us to accept His Son as Savior
and Lord. He looked back with his own sordid (dirty, filthy,
mean) life and realized that everything happened with God's
permission that he came to the point of reaching out for Him.
He was blessed by God by putting his faith in His Son and he
was truly free and filled with His peace before facing death
row. This is the incense, Galbanum spice that goes into the
Golden Censer, and his true prayer of praise and thanksgiving
brought sweet incense at the Golden Altar, at the very
presence of God.

It is interesting to note that the blood of Jesus, an
ingredient was added to our brokenness and bad odor of
sins, the Galbanum, the spice. Our prayers become the
sweet incense that goes before the very throne of God.

Spice: Onycha, Incense 4

Malachi 1:11 that tells us that the nations,
the Gentiles will bring incense to Him.

Exodus 30:34-36

2. Onycha
This was secured from a perfume crab, in the depth of
the Red Sea. From the crab was extracted which means
to have draw out by (with) force and broken into
powder. Crab have mollusk and usually covered with a
hard shell.

Onycha represents the true prayer and praise ascends
from the depth of the heart. Example: Psalms 34:18
KJV-The Lord is nigh to them that are of a broken
heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
NCV-The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and
He saves those whose spirits have been crushed.

Two key words: "deep" and "crushed". The crabs were
found from the deep sea, crushed and broken into powder.
This becomes spice: Onycha that God had chosen. The kind
of prayer was a deep feeling and a crushed spirit.
Example: A prisoner told of a story about how he could
not see how he could thank and praise God for the messy
life he had done. Slowly he began to praise God out of
his feeling of crushed spirit. He started to thank God
for the people who hated him, mistreated him, lied about
him, and betrayed him. He thanked God for the ones he had
hated, mistreated, lied about and betrayed. (This is a
confession what he did). A glowing peace began to flood
him. God was healing all the bitter memories. He was
free in Christ and he praised God. This is the incense,
Onycha spice that goes into the Golden Censer, and his
true prayer of praise and thanksgiving brought the smoke
of incense at the Golden Altar, at the very presence of God.

Have you ever felt crushed in your spirit that really hurt
very deeply? Holy Spirit helps us to thank and praise God
in the very situation He has put us. True prayer of praise
and thanksgiving gives forth the sweet incense to God.

Stacte: Part 2 of Incense 3

Stacte: Part 2 of Incense 3

This was interesting because I understood why Jesus
had wanted me to start "Fresh Manna from Heaven"
since January 2006. I now realized that Holy Spirit
often came to me spontaneously and has been given me
"Fresh Manna" to share in the website and it has truly
became a blessing to me and to many of the Deaf.
This is the type of "Stacte", the kind of prayer and
praise spontaneously.

The Holy Spirit just come to you, touch you, stir
you, and inspire you to give forth praise in songs,
quote from the Bible (Psalms of praise or prayer),
or just speak in tongues and that was a perfect,
STACTE, the spice God intends for us to have.

Hallelujah! It is just awesome to know and
understand God's plan for us. I pray that God
would just filled all the Deaf with the power of
Holy Spirit and that we become alive and be a
blessing to others. I pray that we would really
come to understand God's purpose for all of us.

From 1906, there were 300 people, who met at Hot
Springs, Arkansas and they were already filled
with Holy Spirit. (They were part of the great
outpouring of Holy Spirit at the famous, Azusa
Street in Los Angeles, California in 1906).
They came up with the title the "Assembly of God"
because no other churches want "a speaking in
tongues" people in their churches.

Now we have 77 millions Pentecostal people all over
the world and Malachi 1:11 continue to prophecy that
God will have the nations to bring the "incense" to
Him. Can you imagine how important this is to God?
May God bless you.

Spice: Stacte Incense 3

Question was: Why did God choose specific spices?
Was it just happened that He choose these spices?
I believe God has a meaning for us to know and
understand the purpose of those spices. I like
to refresh the Incense 1 and 2 starting from the
book of Malachi 1:11 that tells us that the nations,
the Gentiles will bring incense to Him. The word,
incense brought my attention and I went into the
studies and would like to share it with you.

Exodus 30:34-36 speaks of four spices that composed
the sweet incense. There were divided into three
plus one. Now the three speak of prayer, worship and
the spirit which they are accomplished plus one.

1. Stacte
This was obtained from a tree on the mountains of Gilead
(in Israel) and flowed without piercing or without
breaking the branches; the leak from it is creamy part.
It means oozed, slow drip; leak out slowly as though it
came from very small holes, and seep through. Stacte is
a rare ointment used as a spice of the sacred perfume to
be used in the Tabernacle of worship. (It is probably
oil of myrrh.)

Stacte represents the extreme need excites voluntary
prayer and praise. Fullness of the Spirit brings forth
spontaneous praise. Example: Acts 2:4. The Day of
Pentecost, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit became
that "incense" God was prophecy from Malachi 1:11.
"I will have nations that will bring "incense" to Me".
Speaking in the language of the Holy Spirit became an
incense to God. This is strongly encourage for everyone
to be filled with the baptism of Holy Spirit and speak
in the heavenly language that God has designed for everyone.

Key words: Natural flows. Holy Spirit comes to us easily
and inspires us to open our inner spirit to bring forth
natural flow of prayer and praise. It just easy to come
forth inside of us. This is the type of STACTE that God
has chosen for us to be filled with the power of Holy
Spirit. God gave instruction to Moses to have Stacte
so doesn't this show you how important it is to God
that you have "stacte" in your life? Prayer and
praise comes naturally from the Holy Spirit.

Sweet Spices Incense 2

INCENSE is a substance giving off a sweet smell which
burned into smoke and become like perfume.

Exodus 30:34,38
"And the Lord said to Moses, Take sweet spices, stacte,
and onycha and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure
frankincense."

God choose the INCENSE offered by the Israelites upon
the altar. The spices which they used are symbolic of
a Christian's prayers today.

Levites were the "keeper of spices". Spice means
treasure. The spices were used to put inside of the
golden censer (a bowl) at the golden altar of prayer
in the tabernacle which is before the Ark of God.

What was in the golden censer or bowl?
Three spices: Stacte, Onycha, Galbanum
plus frankincense.

Why did God choose specific spices?
There are reason.

Malachi's Prophecy Incense 1

Malachi 1:11 - NCV
From the east to the west I will be honored among the nations.
Everywhere they will bring "INCENSE" and clean offerings to ME,
because I will be honored among the nations, says the Lord
All-Powerful.

Note:
In the whole book of Malachi (4 chapters), God wasn't satisfied
with their offerings to the Lord. He said that in the future,
there will be nations that will honor God and bring "INCENSE"
to Him. In Malachi, I realized that this is a prophecy of God
and He talked about the future people of all nations of the
world. God said that the nations will bring "INCENSE" to Him
and it will satisfied Him. It makes me think of
Revelation 8:3-5, KJV.

And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a
golden censer; and there was given unto him much INCENSE,
that he should offer it with the THE PRAYERS OF ALL SAINTS
UPON THE GOLDEN ALTAR WHICH WAS BEFORE THE THRONE.
v. 4 AND THE SMOKE OF THE INCENSE, WHICH CAME WITH THE
PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS, ASCENDED UP BEFORE GOD OUT OF THE
ANGEL'S HAND. V. 5 AND THE ANGEL TOOK THE CENSER, AND
FILLED IT WITH FIRE OF THE ALTAR, AND CAST IT INTO THE
EARTH: AND THERE WERE VOICES, AND THUNDERINGS, AND
LIGHTNINGS, AND AN EARTHQUAKE.

Dorothy Callies:
The "incense" is interesting subject to remember that
God loves incense.

The Most Holy Place

Hebrews 10:19
kjv - Having therefore brethren,
boldness to enter into the holiest
by blood of Jesus.

ncv - So, bothers and sisters, we are
completely free to enter the Most Holy
Place without fear because of the blood
of Jesus' death.

Dorothy:
If you know about the Tabernacle, the Tent
Meeting Place, then you would know where
the Ark of Covenant was located. The room
was called, the Most Holy Place, the Ark.
During the year of 1445-1405 B.C., God
gave instructions to Moses how to approach
God because Christ was the "shadow to come"
and using the lambs to sacrifice at the
Brazen Altar. Only the High Priest could
enter the Most Holy Place once a year and
could not enter them at any time. They had
to wait until the death of Jesus Christ and
the veil was torn from top to bottom.

While 120 disciples were praying, Jesus was
busy sprinkling His blood all around God's
throne in heaven, preparing God for the
day of Pentecostal.

After the day of Pentecostal, God in Holy
Spirit was able to come out of the Ark, The
Most Holy Place, and came as the "wind" and
filled 120 disciples with Holy Spirit and
they spoke in new languages that they had
never learned before. Hebrews 10:19 tells
us that we can go to God, the Most Holy
Place in prayer without fear because we
have the blood of Jesus now.

I pray that our spirit will open up and be
able to grasp this in Jesus' name, amen!

Manna Research

Dorothy:
I reviewed some of Fresh Manna and
I really enjoy the fruits of the labor. I am
sure you might wonder why was the title
called, "Fresh Manna"? There is a
story of Moses and the people who
wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.
Do you ever wonder where did they get food
in the desert to feed 2 millions people?
God had the solution to the "food" problem.
God send "Manna" from heaven for "food" for
40 years. They rose up early in the morning
to gather enough manna for each person per
day except the sixth day, they double it and
bake it enough for two days (6th and 7th day).
Jesus talked about being the Bread of Life.
He told the people that Manna that God
send to Moses' people and they perished.
But if they "eat" the Manna which is Jesus
Himself, they would live forever.

In the year of 2006, Jesus shared with me,
the idea of starting the Fresh Manna From
Heaven in home page website. Eventually, I
learned how the Fresh Manna works and love
it. If you made a mistake yesterday, God's
grace and mercy are new every morning just
like He send "Manna" to Moses' people every
day except the 6th day is double "Manna".
So Jesus is our Fresh Manna From Heaven.
I really love this, don't you?

Research about "Manna" lists:
Exodus 16:15-27, 16:31-35
Numbers 11:7-9
Psalm 78:23-25
John 6:31-35, 6:48-51, 6:58
Hebrews 9:4
Revelation 2:17

I pray that this will greatly blessed you as
I have been blessed by Jesus Christ, Our
Fresh Manna From Heaven, indeed!

History of Fresh Manna

Dorothy:
Good morning! Do you ever wonder how the
Fresh Manna From Heaven started? It began
with a verse, ".. exhort one another daily.."
Heb. 3:13 kjv. ".. encourage one another daily.."
niv. So I prayed, "Lord, how do I and the deaf
people exhort or encourage one another daily while
we live apart from the Deaf?" Soon after that,
the Lord began to speak to my heart to start Fresh
Manna. At first I had no clue as to how to begin.
Gradually, Holy Spirit grew on me to become
more aware of Him. Holy Spirit would bring new
things through verse or reading or bring memory of
songs I had not sang for a long time. So Fresh
Manna from heaven was born.

What Fresh Manna means to me?
Holy Spirit keeps me alive, keeps the inner rivers
of life flowing out from me to you. And you to
others. I pray that Fresh Manna will bless you
as it has already blessed me greatly.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you for being
the Author of Fresh Manna from Heaven. Thank you
for giving me this talent and I pray that we Deaf
people will be able to produce and grow fruits
spiritually and return to You with gainful
talents, like the Parable with Talents.
Bless all of us in Jesus' Name. Amen.
