Kim Johnson's Praise Report & Devotion 7/30/14

Thank u!  I really appreciate, my brothers and sisters need everybody's prayers for our beloved dad.  Farming & hunting have always been his passions.  However, with his Alzheimer's and soon wheel-chair bound, best to live where there is 24 hour support :)  The new house even has an 10 acre land, so my father will even still enjoy trees and deer!!!!  My sister once took care of my dad's mom in her dying years.  And my sister wanted to have honour to care our dad too, and we rest of siblings are very happy my dad couldn't have a better roommate.  We are praying our dad will see that God has great blessings, and that does not include only farming, u know.  BUt that our dad will enjoy relationships with children, grandchildren, and new friends from church!!!!  Yesterday was "closing" date for house purchase, and my sister said it was a miracle how everything worked out!!!! thank u again!!! hugs.  God bless'n keep.  kim

"I am writing to Timothy, my true son in the faith. May God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord give you grace, mercy, and peace."  1 Timothy 1:2 "To Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord."  2 Timothy 1:2     

THEME: GRACE AND MERCY

In my head, grace and mercy were same things, but often wondered why use two words, if they meant the same thing??  Of course, many of us adults even have so many "why" questions like lots 3-5 years old kids would come up w/ "why" questions!!  Either i did not pursue to study between those words, or i just went accepting those as same things.  Then somehow i had conversation w/ my older sister Linda, and later w/ my younger brother Joey about those two things.  How very blessed i went after speaking and learning from them.  I hope to share here with you what would be my last Mold Me.  That's right, u read right, this will be my last one to share.  I would like to read and study more of God's Word throughout summer and rest of year.

Grace = getting what you don't deserve (ie: salvation) ex. Hug.  Grace is extending kindness to the unworthy. Mercy = NOT getting what you deserve (ie: hell, punishment) ex. Spanking.  Mercy is deliverance from judgment.  

I checked in commentary notes ---- mercy and grace are often confused.  While terms have similar meanings, grace and mercy are not the same.  Grace is God blessing us despite the fact that we do not deserve it.  Mercy is God NOT punishing us as our sins deserve.  

I did find they can often be overlapped though, but here I try my best as I learned -----

Grace is +, a POSITIVE thing that we don't deserve like a hug, forgiveness (when rather deserved retaliation or hatred), free ice cream after we have dropped an ice cream or all of a sudden given tickets to Disney World because another family can't go.  Or a free meal, because someone else had paid for it for us, and we are puzzled!  

Mercy is -, being waived or pardoned of NEGATIVE things that we deserve like speeding tickets or fines, prison time (ie: 30 year sentence served in jail), or pay credit card fees (no mercy often by credit card companies)!  And we are waived of fees when we deserve even harsher punishment like increased charges.  Mercy is we are pardoned, and credit card company says, "Okay, we have decided to waive you and you owe us nothing".  Or a bank says, "We have decided to cancel your owing, and balance is ZERO".  Or a policeman says, "Okay, i have decided not to give you a ticket this time, you may go".  Or a judge says, "You are supposed to go to jail to serve one year, but i will let you go, so you may be with your family, as your family needs you".

I found a very few Scriptures with those things combined together.  Here i share because, wow, are not we fortunate to have God's grace and mercy.  I think we need to be reminded daily.  How often and so easily i forget.  Notice they are books of 1 and 2 of Timothy, same chapter and same verse!  I think Apostle Paul who felt close to Timothy to consider him his beloved son, wrote to not forget what Jesus Christ offered------------GRACE, MERCY, (and PEACE)!!!  So the Bible says those who put their trust in Lord Jesus Christ are blessed so to taste those things (Psalm 34: 8 O taste the Lord and see that He is good.  Blessed is the man that trusteth thee)!!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for YOUR marvelous gifts ------ grace, mercy, and peace that can only be found in Your Son Jesus Christ.  We were unworthy, and yet you came and provided us salvation.  Your kindness and love and even You remember our sins no more!!, that's called GRACE.  And while we deserved judgment, punishment, and hell, You provided deliverance -----a way out, that's called MERCY.  That's how we can be at peace with You.  Thank You again.  Through Your Son we ask.  Amen.

Psalm 30:2-4 “O LORD, my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. 3) O LORD, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from going down into the pit. 4) Sing to the LORD, you saints of His; praise His holy name.”

Susanne – My mom is at ER again. Her BP dropped fast and due to medications mistakenly given to her from nursing home.  She is very serious and they plan to do a head CT.  Kidney test and few other things. Please pray.

Mary T. – I need your prayer for God’s will to lead me where to go. Either I stay where I am or go where He leads me. I am at the point where I am alone even when I have friends. Yet I need God to show me what to do. Thank you for your prayers. I appreciate it.

June Ault – Thank you for your prayers. I am healed from my vertigo problem. God leads me to command the vertigo spirit to leave and it left! Praise the Lord! I am able to drive better and walk better. I was able to work around my apartment. Now I overdid myself and had to rest some. I am feeling good.

Ruth Eckstein – Bill is getting much better, but he is still in the hospital until he learn to exercise a little more. He loses balance. He might go to Rehab Nursing Home for therapy. Ruth needs strength to be with Bill. Pray for Kay & Jack’s strength who are taking care of Ruth & Bill.  

Janet Memenga – My right knee surgery is improving slowly. I exercise regularly, but it is still sore and pain without taking medication for pain.  I want to get well quick. Thank you for prayers.

Cynthia – I need complete healing from left arm surgery, the lump was removed. My left middle finger is kind of numb. Also fingers feel stiff. Not normal yet. I have difficult sleeps at night time. I am trusting God’s works on my whole body to be heal progressive well. I need to be patient and trust HIM. Thank you for your prayers. God bless you.

Carol Staples of Maine - I need prayers about the Dentist.  I do not care for the newest dentist I have. Please pray for me to work things out with Maine Care. Please pray for me that I need Partial plate really bad.

Alice Hodgson – Fred still has trouble with ringing inside of his head. His memory is sometimes confusing. He takes pills to relax himself. The Doctor cannot help Fred. I am under stress working at the time. Please pray for both of us. Blessings, Alice and Fred  

Betty Miller - Pls continue to pray for me as I m still in pain. The dr, gave me the name of the book about the food but it might take about 2 or 3 months to work on it.  Ask God to give me the wisdom. I pray for all of those partners need as well. Blessings, Betty

July 20, 2014 at 5 a.m. Urgent Prayer Request

Dear Partners in Prayer,

Ruth Eckstein of Normal, Illinois called on VP for urgent prayer for Bill Eckstein who went to ER July 19^th Saturday morning about 2:00 a.m. He had bleeding bowels and had surgery to stop the bleeding. They are looking for the source of colon problem and cleaning out the blood. Bill is in ICU hospital for observation. He is 79 years old. Ruth needs strength since she was tired for being up all night and day. [Dorothy]

7/25/14 Shelley's Prayer: Father,
I thank You for eyes is on the sparrow. You've created birds and enjoy them. Yet, You tell us that we are not to be afraid for we are worth more than sparrows. Matthew 10:31 reads, "Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." Thank You for the comforting words. I am praying for Bill E. who is in the care of the doctors right now to rest in You and trust You. I am asking for Your hands to guide the team of doctors to solve the problems quickly and accurately. Let Bill recover well and be sent home soon. As You are watching over him, let him sing and praise You.

I pray for Ruth to also find a place of rest in You. Your yoke is easy and your burden is light, lighter than a feather. Thank You that she is coming to You and rest. Renew her with strength today. In Jesus' name, amen and amen.

Jeremiah 17:14 “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for Thou art my praise. Jeremiah 30:17a “For I will restore health unto thee (you), and I will heal thee (you) of thy (your) wounds, saith the Lord …” Thank You, Lord!

7/19/14 Susanne - *Pray for Mom to be healthy & strong enough to come home next week with the right equipment she needs that will sustain her around our home.  And she will be able to do more for herself & pray that she gets better. *Pray for the boys that the judge HEARS the cries of the boys’ hearts and allow them to move in with us. This is so important!! *Pray for our health and be able to do all we need to do for this weekend and life as a family. *Pray that we find help to deal with this nursing home. *Please pray for my migraine and sinus and bronchitis pressure. 7/18/14 – Dianne Oppreicht – I have a wonderful good news! I got Doctor’s report that my heart is improving. Thank You Lord for the healing. (She had bypass surgery years ago)

7/15/14 – June Ault – Using VP, I called June on July 14^th and found that she was not completely well. She was weak. I encouraged June to try to get some healing verses and to quote them. Quoting the verse will activated her faith in the healing power of God. The next day on July 15^th, June was excited and thanked me for reminding her to quote the verse she had forgotten. The Lord began to deal with her and told her to use the verse, “By His stripes, I am healed.” June remembered that it was her favorite verse to quote that she had forgotten about for a long time. And the Lord spoke to June to read the inhaler’s medicine for allergic she had received from Dr.’s prescription. When she read it, she was shocked to find it had listed “steroid.” So she stopped taking it, and she was able to smell, and was able to taste the food. She got her strength back. She called the Doctor about the inhaler with steroid and the side effect. The Doctor told her that he is not responsible for any side effects of any medicine. So she is trusting God to heal her. So she is thankful for your prayers for her. She is feeling so much better. (Dorothy: Today, she looks so much better since it has been awhile she felt this good. She, also wants to thank you for your prayer for her. It meant a lot to her since she doesn’t have a deaf church to go to.)

7/11/14 - Bill Clements – I talked to Bill on VP and got the Praise Report - My eyes have improved since surgery. Before surgery, my right eyes was like blurred like “raining” but after surgery, my right eyes became clear and I could see better. My left eyes had double vision, and after surgery, I was able to see much better. Thank you so much for your prayers. Also I have arthritis in my hands. I need healing. Bill

7/12/20Martha Clements - First of all, my husband had successful eye surgeries, and now waiting to save money to buy new glasses. Me, I am not doing well because of heavy arthritic pain in my hands, elbows, shoulders, legs, etc. I will be having a 4th surgery on my hip because of the previous surgeries to repair muscle tear was not successful.  So I am disappointed in the doctor, for he was supposed to be one of the best, but not in my opinion. Right now, it is full of fluid build-up and the tear is still a tear! So I am not healing well at all. I am so frustrated. Please pray.  Martha

Diana Kinder of Wisc. - Please pray for my 23-yrs-old son, Sean, that his face and neck will heal in the right way. He has 2 & 3rd degree chemical burn. Please Lord, I pray that there be no scars remain on Sean's face and neck from this burn. In Jesus' name. Amen please say... Amen... to agree with me. Thank you all. Di

Shelley’s Prayer for Diana’s son Sean: Father in heaven, thank You for Your healing scriptures for us to say/sign and believe. I am lifting Sean to You and declare with thanksgiving "Thank You, by Jesus' stripes, Sean is healed. His face & neck are free of scars and healed. Your mighty Word is working in him right now." I am agreeing with Di and her prayers for her son. In Jesus' name, that is above all names including scar and burns, amen and so be it.

 Diana Kinder’s note - Been almost three months now with no teeth for chewing. Praise the Lord that the healing came along good. This coming Monday I will be seeing the dentist for the "impression" for them to start on my upper dentures. Can't wait :) Just maybe two more weeks to get them. Do keep me in prayers for the next step of going through the soreness of getting used to them as I have heard from others who have experienced this. Thrilled & scared a bit on this journey. Can't wait to smile again. Another prayer request - Also from a recent MRI just diagnosed with having Lacunar Strokes (LAC) which are caused from my blood disorder of Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APS). The APS I've had the last 5 1/2 years while staying on Warfarin *blood thinner*. God is so good that I'm still here for a reason :) Need prayers that I keep going.......  Blessings Di

 Shelley’s prayer for Diana: Father, I am lifting Di to You asking You do to a healing miracle in her body. This is easy for You to take all of her health problems and give her complete healing from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. Holy Spirit, come and minister to her right now. Take everything that is not of You away from her and heal her completely. Thank You that it is Your will that Di be healed and made whole. 7/10/14 Susanne – Prayer Request - We were at the hotel before 10 a.m. still trying to sleep because I am so sick and in such pain. My husband got a phone call from Hosp. Mom fell and hurt herself. She got to the ER. Nurse said her knee is pretty badly bruised which means her arthritis will be worse and she won't be able to get around w/o our help. My mom is in the hospital only for 24 hrs and she will be sent to a nursing home of their choice. I am exhausted, worn out, sick nervous wreck because of mom in the hospital alone. I don't know how she made it to the hosp.  I hate not being able to call directly myself and find out. Please pray with us that MOM IS OKAY, IN JSUS NAME. And that we all will be okay. Thank you for your prayers. It means so much. Susanne

Shelley’s Prayer for Susanne and her mom: Father, I am asking You to stir up Your peace inside Susanne right now. Let her hold onto Your words in Psalm 91 and 2 Timothy 1:7. Dorothy Callies – Please pray for my sister, Lois’ son, Gary who had neck spine surgery last July 9th that he will be healed completely. Shelley’s prayer: Father, thank You for Your words that are powerful and at work right now. I agree with Dorothy and her prayer to see her nephew Gary healed. We are all looking to You Jesus and knowing that all of the pain and spine problems were upon You. You took them all from Gary and gave healing to him. Thank You Jesus for this divine exchange. Paula Hardy - Praise the Lord - He is so good. Pray for Sandra Adams and me this weekend at the camp. We both will be the guest speakers. Sandra Adams is planning to go to Africa as a missionary this fall.

 June Ault – After 5 weeks, I was not able to drive. PTL, now I can drive, but I get dizzy sometimes and I need healing. I have problem with nose, throat and ears. I want my taste and smell back. My diabetics has improved, PTL! Appreciate prayers very much. June

Joyce Bonnett of Ohio – My friend’s husband’s daughter, Rubie age 57 has cancer in her breasts and upper ribs cancer spread. Took tests and no surgery since it is too late. Pray for her salvation and healing miracle that Rubie would get to know Jesus as her Savior.  

6/8/14 Christine Loeffler - Please pray for my ferral cat Scar (my husband named him Scar because he does have a scar on his head) who has not return for food & attention, which he (he was born & thrive outdoor.  Met him as an adult cat) normally does after roaming in a small town surround farm lands.   If he is still alive, pray for his safe trip back home.  If he is dead & in heaven, I need a clear confirmation from Lord that he is dead without seeing his body. 7/5/14 - Kim Murphy needs prayer for what she is going through. See her testimony and I thought you should know this. Dorothy. Thank you, Dorothy that meant a lot to me to put me on the prayer list.  I'll tell you HE is with me. Not sure if you saw on the news or read in paper but my town was hit by a tornado, it wasn't a normal one with the tunnel. It's called a F1 due to high winds and this does as much damage as the tunnel kind. I was driving home from work Monday night and when I saw parts of cars flying through the intersection I look up and realize this isn't good. I made it home which not sure how, rain so hard could not see much, trees where coming down everywhere and lighting was hitting the power wires and boxes and sparks were everywhere. I get home no power.  I have a sleeping issue and need power for a machine I need to use. To make a week long story a little shorter, power out from Monday night until Thursday night. I stayed at Taija's apt for one night, my sisters for one night so it wouldn't be dangerous for me to sleep. Didn't miss any work but it was tough. I lost some food, but not everything, it's only food it can be replaced. I am very blessed my house is still standing, my car is good even going through what I drove through, and I am still here so I can help others now and in the future when Mother Nature isn't so nice. I prayed through the whole week and I made it....still have something things that need to be fixed and/or cleaned up but all in all very lucky and thankful! I love you too and knowing I have friends who care and pray helps so much. Xoxo

7/7/14 - Kim Murphy’s Great News - God is who brought me through it all, with my angels next to me, those up with up with Him and those here on earth with me. It's better now, I have power, so I slept in my own bed last night with A/C so I am comfortable. I have cleaned up the mess everywhere. Cleaned deep freezer and the Refrigerator. The thoughts and prayers helped me get through this. Love to all. Kim

Janet Memenga - request prayer for her speedy recovery from knee surgery. She is doing good and is at Heritage Health for therapy for her knee. She’ll be home soon.

Betty Miller – continues to pray for her personal needs since she went to ER again.

Audrey Corrington – Continues to pray for her mother’s speedy recovery from bypass heart surgery.

Betty Jo Bennewitz for Dallas, her husband – testify that his eczema has greatly improved and thank you for your prayers, but continue to pray that he stop ‘peeling his skins.’ Another prayer need for his neck, cervical radicular (pinched nerves at c6&7) at left side which cause pain on his left shoulder, arm, hand & fingers (tingling & numb). On July 11, Dallas will get shot at the right place on his neck (right & left). Continue to pray for his eye sight.

Tony Callies – needs your support prayer in keeping him in good health in spite of taking several medicines for his health reasons. His family doctor was concerned he has some problems in his body, but the doctor was amazed how Tony kept saying that he was just fine. It is obvious that God is with Tony. I think I understood what Paul meant, “When I am weak, then I am strong in Christ.” Tony may have ailments, but Tony is strong in his spirit with God.

Shelley's prayer: Father, thank You for our sister Paula who is a loving member of the body of Christ. We need her here on earth to do Your will and calling. Her family needs her. Her church family needs her here as well. You also need her here too and Your work through her is blessing many. I am agreeing with Paula that her appointment to go well and the large kidney stone be completely gone from her body. Let Paula experience no pain afterwards but receive Your healing touch to her right kidney. In Jesus' name, amen and so be it.

Shelley"s Prayer: Father, I am joining others to pray for Kim's financial need. By our faith, in the midst of our praying, we are asking You to reveal Yourself to her and let her know that You love and care for her deeply. Let Kim not fear today but receive the Spirit of power, of love and of sound mind now. Give her scriptures to believe You and use her faith to call You her Provider. Help her to sow a financial seed to Your kingdom and reap provisions. Shelley's Prayer: In the mighty name of Jesus, sore throat and cough be gone from Suzy's body. Suzy, you are healed by Jesus' stripes. He brought you wholeness. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Jesus. 

Audrey Corrington – [Dorothy for Audrey] Audrey’s mom’s bypass surgery on her heart came out okay. Pray for speedy recovery. Her father’s eye has tunnel vision and his eyes has narrow down to where he could not see much. He depends on his wife a lot and now he is helpless without her guide. Please pray for God’s guidance to what to do with her father. Her brother also inherit her father’s tunnel vision. Please pray that the curse be broken from passed on to her brother and heal his eyes in Jesus’ name. The doctor is now concerned that Audrey need to be check up with her heart earlier because her grandmother had heart bypass surgery, and now her mother had one. It is likely that Audrey might inherit from two generations and now Doctor wants to prevent this on Audrey. Please pray for Audrey’s generation’s heart/health problem be broken and set her free and be healed completely in Jesus’ name. 

Shelley's prayer: Father, thank You that Audrey's mom is in recovery. Thank You for watching over her now and seeing Your word working in her. Let Audrey's mom be confident in You knowing that not one word from You failed but passed.  She will get out of the hospital and declare Your works! Glory to You God. Tunnel vision, you leave now from Audrey's dad's eyes, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. I command healing to his eyes. Let both eyes be restored to 20/20 vision. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Jesus.  Father, I am agreeing with all who are praying for Audrey's cardio health, that she be found healthy and strong. Thank You that the curse is broken in Jesus' name and by His blood There will be no more line of heart problems in Audrey and her children / family, only the line of Jesus. Thank You that she is free and healed in Jesus' name. Amen and so be it.  

 Marlene Heberling’s friend, Carole was in hospital with vomiting and being very sick for several days and they haven’t find what the problem was yet. Please pray.

Shelley's prayer: Father, I am praying for Carole right now. Holy Spirit, Carole's circumstance is not a mystery to You.  I am asking You to guide the doctor to find out the cause of her illness and treat her correctly where she recovers fully and be stabilized. I don't know if Carole knows You and I am going to pray for Marlene to be a strong witness of Your love to her. Let Carole know You are real and that You can be trusted for her life.Thank You for Marlene. In Jesus' name, amen and so be it.

 Dallas Bennewitz of Rockford, IL – Still has problem with eczema because he kept itching some part of his body even though the Doctor gave him special lotion to use for dry eczema. He forgets to put lotion on his eczema. What Dallas need is a miracle not to feel itching and to keep him from leaving sores from scratching. [ Dorothy: I called Betty Jo on VP and said that there’s a little improvement, but not much due to his scratching problem so please pray for him. Also his eye sight did not get worse, but need improvement. Thank you for prayers.]

Shelley's prayer for Dallas: In the name of Jesus who has given me authority and power, eczema, you leave Dallas' body now. You are gone and never to return. Dallas, receive Jesus' miracle of healing.
