Today's Verse March 24, 2019
"Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart,
all (of you) that hope in the Lord." Psalm 31:24, KJV
The word courage means strength of mind to carry on in
spite of danger or difficulty. Courage suggests strength in
overcoming fear and carrying against.
Etymology: Middle English corage "the heart as a source of
feelings, spirit, confidence," from early French curage (same
meaning), from coer "heart," from Latin cor "heart," -- related
to CORDIAL.
Synonyms: COURAGE, BRAVERY, VALOR, HEROISM mean
greatness of spirit in facing danger or difficulty.
