January 8, 1943–March 14, 2015

We are sure many of you has remembered Bro Ed, a Missionary for Venezuela including his wife, Gladys. The duo has created a dynamic ministry that has reached beyond their thoughts. Because of their intensive work and untiring work the ministry has grown with many deaf churches established and many Deaf Pastors were called. This then led eventually to the formation of the Assembly of God district for the Deaf in Venezuela. Their unique work has created a great legacy in the hearts of men and women around Venezuela and as well as abroad. He is surely remembered in this great ministry work of nearly 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, and two daughters, Danita and Marlena, including their respective husbands and grandchildren. Please keep them in your prayers.

MY TESTIMONY ABOUT ED PERDOMO FROM DOROTHY:
Ed Perdomo, native and a missionary of Venezuela of South America passed away the other day. I wanted to say that when I first met him and his mother in 1956 at California School for the Deaf Riverside,  I was their guide on the Parents Day showing them around. The mother decided to send Ed to a Deaf School in Riverside, CA. Ed Perdomo was a native of Venezuela and came to America.

I had seen this shy teenager, Ed kept to himself in a classroom during the recess time and I encouraged him to come out and meet with others. He struggled to fit in. I remember praying for him and witnessing to him about Jesus. Few years later, he told me that a friend helped him with salvation plan. The vision of his face often appear during my prayer time and I would pray for him a lot.

Then time after time we would meet at different events and he said this to me, "I know you have been praying for me because I felt your prayers very strongly." I was impressed. Soon after, I learned of his great missionary work at Venezuela and I realized what God had done through him.

It was just awesome for me to realize that you never know who you meet, witnessing them to Christ, pray for them and then one day, they do great work for God.

Dorothy
